A Dentist to Brag About!
I will preface this review with the fact that I have not been to the dentist in more than ten years. I have an enormous fear of them due to seeing two terrible dentists. After perusing the internet and reviews, I found Palmetto Smiles and Dr. Campbell. I am so lucky. Never once did Dr. Campbell or his staff make me feel embarrassed. They quickly calmed me and helped me dry my tears after my first examination. Dr. Campbell is quick to share his past dental problem and makes me feel that I am not the worst person in the world because of my lack of dental care. He has experienced all that I have with dental problems. It is easy to see that he truly values his patients and their comfort. I love him! You should also know that he definitely will try to entertain you as he treats you. Dr. Campbell always makes me feel comfortable. In fact, my daughter and I brag to each other when we have had the pleasure of seeing him. I never thought I would brag about my dentist! Also, Although I hope this review does not pack his office and make it hard to see him and his staff, he and his staff deserve the most accolades for putting their patients first.

Five-Star Stamp Of Major Approval
This was my first visit to PS and as with all first dentistry visits it was to fix something. I broke a tooth while working. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, I knew I needed to manage the situation relatively quickly. The staff at PS recognized my situation and got me in immediately and with no hesitation. Once I arrived I was really amazed at the personal service and how helpful everyone was. I have a lot of work in store for repair but PS made it as easy as possible and more importantly, comfortable. Great folks here and they get my five-star stamp of major approval!

Kindest Dentist in Charleston
If you read only one review, I hope it’s this one. Folks, if you haven’t visited a dentist in a long time, if you’re nervous or apprehensive, if you’re worried about being judged, if you wonder if staff will be “nice” to you, I promise you’re going to be able to drop your concerns at the door. My first (and only, so far) visit was earlier this week. I feel fortunate and blessed to have found Palmetto Smiles of Charleston. I needed an emergency appointment and had actually googled “kindest dentist in Charleston” and Palmetto Smiles was at the top of the list. I read a few reviews and decided to call them. I hit the motherlode. If I ever become a millionaire (doubtful), I’m leaving them in the will. Staff, if you’re reading this, don’t change what you do on my next visit. Remember, you’re not in the will yet. LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!

I would definitely rate my experience with Palmetto Smiles of Charleston as “excellent”. Dr. Campbell and his staff are the best. From the time I walked in the door for my appointment, I was treated very professionally and with respect. I enjoyed being at the dentist and felt good about following up on my dental health – how many people can say that? All of the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and are very happy to be there. It is rare to see that these days. I do not think you could find a better dental practice than Palmetto Smiles. Treated With Respect
I had a great experience at Palmetto Smiles. Dr. Campbell, Perri, Angie and all the staff are caring, gentle, and kind. Their expertise and knowledge are exceptional. Very Warm and Understanding
I went to Palmetto Dentistry for the first time yesterday based on a referral of my Periodontist. In the past I have had some bad experiences with previous dentists so I am quite apprehensive and stressed when I have to go to the dentist. I found the entire staff very warm and understanding of my fear. Yesterday was just my first visit so I have not had any work performed yet but I can only state they all seem to have a great customer relation skill.

Great Staff
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Campbell’s since he was in dental school at MUSC. He helped me eliminate my fear of going to a dentist and always helps me relax if he is doing a new procedure. His staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and take the time to find an appointment date that works for me. I would recommend them to anyone- child or adult.

I have been a patient of Dr. Campbell’s for over 5 years.
It had been about 10 years since I’d been to a dentist (fear of pain) but I agreed to be a patient of Dr. Campbell’s when he was taking his dental boards at MUSC. He was painless. Since then, I have been treated by him whenever I was in Georgia where he first practiced and now I go to his office here in Charleston. Dr. Campbell explains what you need to have done to your teeth but he doesn’t push you into a procedure unless you really want to have the work done.

These guys really know what they are doing! I’ve had a filling, a crown, and a deep cleaning – all in the last 60 days. With each procedure they used cutting-edge technology. The dentists and the staff exhibit skill and efficiency that I have NEVER experienced previously. My teeth look and feel great. I’m a pain wuss. I have been apprehensive about going for dental work for about 18 years.
They took such good care of me. The staff was friendly, understanding, explained everything as they were doing it from what was to be done to financial options, and they frequently checked with me on my comfort level. What a great place.
I have been a patient for a short while now. I just left! They have recently made great changes with new Dentist. Along with the others, Dr. Campbell is a very nice guy that will listen to what you have to say. He is always willing to take the extra time, extra step and help. The staff, is wonderful, they will tell you everything straight forward so there are no loose ends.They have the newest in equipment and software, like the machine that took a 360 view of my mouth. No more guessing or not understanding what is wrong with my mouth, with their equipment you can see it!!! If i could go past 5 stars I would!

Over the years in my job I got transferred around a lot which also required finding a new dentist which we all know is not a favorite thing to do.
