I will preface this review with the fact that I have not been to the dentist in more than ten years. I have an enormous fear of them due to seeing two terrible dentists. After perusing the internet and reviews, I found Palmetto Smiles and Dr. Campbell. I am so lucky. Never once did Dr. Campbell or his staff make me feel embarrassed. They quickly calmed me and helped me dry my tears after my first examination. Dr. Campbell is quick to share his past dental problem and makes me feel that I am not the worst person in the world because of my lack of dental care. He has experienced all that I have with dental problems. It is easy to see that he truly values his patients and their comfort. I love him! You should also know that he definitely will try to entertain you as he treats you. Dr. Campbell always makes me feel comfortable. In fact, my daughter and I brag to each other when we have had the pleasure of seeing him. I never thought I would brag about my dentist! Also, Although I hope this review does not pack his office and make it hard to see him and his staff, he and his staff deserve the most accolades for putting their patients first.

This was my first visit to PS and as with all first dentistry visits it was to fix something. I broke a tooth while working. Not only was it incredibly uncomfortable, I knew I needed to manage the situation relatively quickly. The staff at PS recognized my situation and got me in immediately and with no hesitation. Once I arrived I was really amazed at the personal service and how helpful everyone was. I have a lot of work in store for repair but PS made it as easy as possible and more importantly, comfortable. Great folks here and they get my five-star stamp of major approval!

If you read only one review, I hope it’s this one. Folks, if you haven’t visited a dentist in a long time, if you’re nervous or apprehensive, if you’re worried about being judged, if you wonder if staff will be “nice” to you, I promise you’re going to be able to drop your concerns at the door. My first (and only, so far) visit was earlier this week. I feel fortunate and blessed to have found Palmetto Smiles of Charleston. I needed an emergency appointment and had actually googled “kindest dentist in Charleston” and Palmetto Smiles was at the top of the list. I read a few reviews and decided to call them. I hit the motherlode. If I ever become a millionaire (doubtful), I’m leaving them in the will. Staff, if you’re reading this, don’t change what you do on my next visit. Remember, you’re not in the will yet. LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!

I would definitely rate my experience with Palmetto Smiles of Charleston as “excellent”. Dr. Campbell and his staff are the best. From the time I walked in the door for my appointment, I was treated very professionally and with respect. I enjoyed being at the dentist and felt good about following up on my dental health – how many people can say that? All of the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and are very happy to be there. It is rare to see that these days. I do not think you could find a better dental practice than Palmetto Smiles.
